Investwood

Investwood is a Portuguese company specialising in the production of wood fibre (Valbopan, SA) and wood cement boards (Viroc, SA).

Through-dyed Valchromat is a harder, moisture-resistant wood panel in which the pine wood fibres are dyed with organic dyes and bonded with a special resin. This gives it unique physical and chemical properties. The boards show small, less stained wood fibres that create a fine look to the surface. The added value of Valchromat comes not only from the colour, but from the special composition.

Viroc is an impressive composite panel made of a mixture of pine wood particles and cement, called Cement Bonded Particle Board (CBPB). Viroc combines the flexibility of wood with the strength and durability of cement, allowing for a wide range of indoor and outdoor applications.

Valchromat and Viroc

Valchromat tiles are intended for indoor use, preferably with a surface treatment (varnish, waxing) to protect the surface and facilitate cleaning. Valchromat sheets are also well suited for applications requiring precise milling, e.g. water or laser cutting, as well as in humid areas.

We also supply ready-to-install, lacquered and e.g. for concealed installation profiles, perforated wall panels, standard sizes 600 x 600 mm, 1200 x 600 mm (max 2400 x 600 mm) and suitable aluminium installation profiles.

Valbopan SA, a Portuguese manufacturer of Valchromat, is an energy self-sufficient plant.

The plates are recyclable.

The materials used in the Viroc panel create heterogeneous variation in its appearance, with shades being randomly scattered. This is due to the natural colours and chemical reactions of the raw materials used.

Viroc is suitable for a wide range of uses:

  • For wall panels
  • For partition walls
  • Soundproofing
  • For humid areas
  • For shop fittings
  • Furniture (indoor and outdoor)
  • For kitchens
  • For floors
  • For suspended ceilings
  • For facades (exterior)
