4akustik - acoustic panel

4akustik is a tried and tested sound-absorbing acoustic panel that also works as a decorative feature on walls, ceilings and furniture. The material is perforated and grooved MDF with a melamine or wood veneer surface, backed with a thin black felt. Some surfaces have a matt hemp finish. The panel is available for a wide range of applications with a variety of grooves.
- The Millerighe version brings a new visual look to the 4akustik product family. The 3/1 groove of the panel creates a new visual impression by making the groove less visible.
- Random groove patterns (3×3 different) visually expand the grooving possibilities of the 4akustik by bringing randomness to the air. Random patterns can be combined with 4akustik base patterns.
New 2025: also available with black mdf frame in walnut and light oak.

Technical specifications
- Panel size: 128x4086x16mm, 600x600mm and 600x1200x16mm, sides dotted.
- Available in 28/4, 14/2, 13/3, 9/2, 7/1 and Millerighe 3/1. Plus Random: three different versions in three different groove widths.
- Standard colours: with brown mdf frame: light oak, white. 0118, titanium grey, mocha, English oak and walnut. Black mdf frame: light oak, English oak, English oak, English oak, walnut
- Special colours: wide range of special designs, ask for more (may require minimum quantity), panels also available painted
- Dimensions of the silo mounting rails: depth 18 mm, length 3 m, for use behind the panel at 600 mm intervals in its transverse direction. If necessary, an additional material such as polyester wool can be used behind the panel to improve the absorption capacity. In this case, the rails are usually formed slightly out of the surface.
- Fire class: available in B-s1,D0 (CE marked) . This grade meets the more stringent Japanese F 4 star class (JIS A 1460:2001) for a significantly low formaldehyde emission.
- Certifications: the FSC, Fanton's 4akustik and Climacustic panels also perform favourably in LEED-certified buildings.

The installation solution for the 4akustik (128×4086 mm panels) is the Omega mounting system, where the panels are attached to the rail with clips, see video above. The Omega mounting system works for both wall and ceiling installations, and allows the creation of large panel areas.
